I'm really enjoying Jack Monroe's latest book. Tin Can Cook is packed full of simple, cheap and tasty recipes, for anyone to try. Monroe makes fun, inventive dishes from canned, frozen and dried foods. She also confronts the snobbery surrounding these foods with academic evidence about their nutritional value. Recipes include, Black Bean & Peanut Stew, Lemon-Roasted Sardines and Chocolate Pear Cake! We'll post some of the recipes on our recipe page in the coming weeks. Oh, yes.
