Here is important information to make sure your service is safe for you, your staff, and service users.

THE BASICS: INFO FOR NEW GROUPS

If you plan to run a community food service, you must have the following in place before you start:

  1. Register your kitchen with Lambeth Council Food Health & Safety Team.
  2. Complete a basic Risk Assessment.
  3. Get Public Liability Insurance/Employers Liability Insurance for staff and volunteers.
  4. At least one of your team should have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
  5. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)/ID checks for staff and volunteers.
