Here are some organizations offering grants to groups during the Covid-19 crisis.

Coronavirus Community Support Fund
The Government’s new £200 million Coronavirus Community Support Fund has opened for applications. National Lottery Community Fund administers the funding. It has two key objectives:
  • To increase community support to vulnerable people affected by the COVID-19 crisis;
  • To reduce temporary closures of essential charities and social enterprises, ensuring services for vulnerable people impacted by COVID-19 have the financial resources to operate, and so reduce the burden on public services.
Charities and not for profit organisations can apply for grants of between £300 and £10,000 or for grants above £10,000.  Deadline ongoing. Find more information and how to apply here.
London Community Response Fund

Morrisons Foundation COVID-19 Homeless Support Fund
Support charities caring for homeless people during the coronavirus outbreak and ensure help gets to those who need it most. Grants of up to £10,000 are available. Deadline ongoing.

Alpkit Foundation Grassroots Support 
Grants of up to £500 are available for individuals or organizations serving those affected by coronavirus. Work which will be supported includes: working with vulnerable people, food, homelessness, etc. Deadline ongoing. Find more information and how to apply here.

​Comic Relief Community Fund
Grassroots community organisations with an income of less than £250,000 can apply for funding to help them develop their organisation through a Capacity Building Grant of up to £500 or to deliver projects through a Project Delivery Grant of up to £4,000. Deadline ongoing. The community charity, Groundwork administers the fund.

Family Fund 
The Family Fund supports low-income parents and carers of a child disabled or seriously ill aged 17 or under. For more information visit the Family Fund website. Deadline ongoing. 

Foyle Foundation Small Grants Scheme
Grants for organisations currently delivering services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged or the general community can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £10,000.  Deadline ongoing. Find more information and how to apply here.

Henry Smith Charity: Improving Lives Grant
Grants of between £20,000 and £60,000 per year for up to three years to charitable organisations (charities and not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises) that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available. ​Magic Little Grants
Grants of £500 are available for small charities and community groups that help improve mental wellbeing, community participation in the arts, support marginalised group and promote equality. Neighbourly
Neighbourly is an online giving platform. They can help your group connect with businesses that can donate volunteer time, money or product surplus. Visit their website to create a free page and set goals for your project.
If you want to receive surplus food, a member of your group must have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. You can do an online course in a few hours and get a certificate for less than £20.

Aviva Community Fund
Small charities and constituted community groups can apply for funding of up to £50,000.  In response to the Covid-19 Aviva are temporarily funding projects that ensure organizations can adapt or maintain critical services and infrastructure in response to the impacts of COVID-19.
