FareShare London is now part of the Felix Project. They have schemes offering free and reduced price surplus food for community groups.

Low-cost membership scheme for community groups to receive weekly deliveries of quality surplus food. Existing members only, check website for updates.

Healthy Living Platform  
   
Healthy Living Platform currently runs surplus food hubs on behalf of Lambeth Council. If you run a community food project in Lambeth, email or call to discuss your requirements.

Neighbourly
Neighbourly is an online giving platform. They can help you connect with businesses that have volunteer time, money or product surplus to donate. Visit their website to create a free page and set goals for your project.
If you want to receive surplus food, a member of your group must have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. You can do an online course in a few hours and get your certificate for less than £20.

Congestion Charge Reimbursements ​

The Mayor of London has extended the reimbursement scheme. You may be eligible for reimbursement if you are: 
  • An NHS patient  
  • NHS staff  
  • A local authority employee  
  • A charity employee or volunteer 
  • Working at a care home within the Congestion Charge zone

Independent food aid network

Local helpers: free digital tools

The Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) supports and connects independent food aid organizations.
It also advocates on their behalf at a national level. IFAN provide up-to-date information about how your group can access surplus food, funding, supplies, etc. during the Covid-19 crisis. Your group can join for free.

Local Helpers
Local Helpers has created free digital tools for community groups. If you're running a new delivery, shopping service or similar, their free tools can help you manage volunteers, clients and tasks.
